The Government has announced that Digital Switch Over will start in 2012 and will be completed by 2013.
The switch over process will occur as follows:

• Hawkes Bay (September 2012)
• West Coast (September 2012)
• The rest of the South Island (April 2013)
• The lower North Island (September 2013)
• The Upper North Island (November 2013)
